So I've got a Dean ML Knight night I play for speed metal gigs, and I wanted to see if anybody might know how much it would cost to have somebody put custom sharktooth inlays in the fretboard.

I'd like to have my own kind of custom signature type deal with my guitar so I can show some personality in my axe.

i don't see how any of us would know...

use real sharkteeth. that would be pretty 'custom signature'.

sorry about not being helpful

Several hundred dollars minimum for inlay work. And you probably have dots so would need to find an inlay to cover where the holes were for the dots. Sorry but inlay work is pretty expensive to have done.

seriously, it's difficult work, and you would pay hundreds to have it done. the new inlays would mean they had to remove the frets, so therefore you would have a refret in
the cost too. and that's about $200.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.
