Specs or a link would be nice, though honestly both don't look so great.

EDIT: NVM, google is my friend. Both suck.

What's your budget and current amp?

EDIT2: Dean Z-X
BC Rich Blade

they both look awesome to me, but i would probably lean towards the warlock coz it looks cool

tbh though, i'm probs not the best personto listen to...i don't really like metal guitars and tend to go for looks rather than sound, so...

i probably wouldnt pick either of them, but if i had to i would say dean is better over bc rich any day.

Lower-end Warlocks (actually all lower-end BC Riches) are usually made out of Basswood or Agathis, whereas this Dean is also basswood. But I've never really liked Warlocks... so I would go with the Dean, but it's more a matter of personal preference.

The Warlock is uncomfortable to play sitting down because the horn jabs into your sternum. I'd probably go with the Dean, despite the bolt on joint going all the way out to the 17th fret...

EDIT: just so i'm not spamming, i'd go for the Dean if those were my only options.... but i'm sure there's some better guitars out there for you.... what's your budget?

i wud say look at some other brands, cuz no offense or anything but those, as i have heard, are the worst two brands there ever were. the guy who started dean just left his company an b.c. rich guitars are very unreliable and crappy also.
ibanez makes good guitars in ur price range, so look at some of them. some other brands for what seems to be ur style wud be ESP, and Schecter.

I don't know bout the dean, but my bro has the warlock as his first guitar. I kinda like it. Not really my thing, but it plays pretty nice to me.
But having said that, I have a squier so my opinion may be null and void...

I've played tons of BC riches, including that one in the picture (for kicks)

Junk, not to mention ugly as sin.

Although, I can't say anything nice about the dean either, but i suppose if your into pointy metal guitars, go with the dean

Uh Sorry shred4bread (btw cool user name ) I'm just asking for opinions.
And thank you Bax.

Anyway, back to the topic. I've read a lot of reviews and these 2 guitars seem to have what I want on both sides, sound and shape. Now I can't afford any $1000s guitar, so these are fair price.

Around 300-400$

A lot of people are telling me to go with the Dean guitar. Well honestly, I had the BC Rich in mind before, but it wasn't in stock at the store, so I had to search for another guitar and I found the Dean Z-X which caught my attention. And now I'm confused on which to get.

I currently have a Squier Bullet Strat, but I'm sure it's time to get a new guitar!

I'd have to say the Dean just because the top of the Warlock's headstock looks like a ballsack.

if that's not gay, I don't know what is

LMAO

even though the headstock does look like a ballsack, i would go with the bc rich, just cuz im a fan of them.

i know a lot of people are going to say both suck, but i'd advise the Dean. But i'm not yelling at you right now, i'm stating a VERY IMPORTANT FACT.

Okay, here we go:
HAVE YOU TRIED IT OUT AND EVERY OTHER GUITAR IN YOUR PRICE RANGE?!?!
Because that there is a very important factor when buying a guitar.

Nope. The place where I get my guitars/guitar accessories doesn’t allow trying out the guitars before buying them. Talk about a rip off huh?!

i'm a BIG B.C Rich fan but if i was you go for the Dean.... the Warlock isn't the higher grade one soo it's gonna suck

Quote by higgins666
generally im a dean fan, but you would be better off savin up a bit more & buying from the next step up (if that makes sense) as you already have an entry level guitar & thats what both of those are.

These are professional guitars… Right?!
