Ive been trying to find the bass the bass player uses in this song, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oIiYwKO88aY

I know it looks like the MIA 5 string jazz bass by fender but ive looked and none of the have the dark fretboard (which for some reason i love the dark fretboard with the classic black & white body) any help would be greatly appreciated.

Judging from the headstock it's a Sadowsky - their tuning pegs are arranged like that. Fender don't make them like that.

It's not a Fender, the tuning pegs are arranged in 4 on one side, and one on the other. Like a Sadowsky Vintage 5.

The Fender website also says you can get it in black with a rosewood fretboard.

EDIT: And found one, albeit with a pau ferro fingerboard, and would require a pickguard swap if you wanted a white one.

If we can get one in Europe I'm pretty sure you'll be able to get one in the US.

Ah, didn't know that. Either way it COULD still be a sadowsky!

But it would be much easier on the wallet to get a Jazz V.
