I recorded some clips for everyone wanting to buy or look into a Vox Valvetronix amp for Classic Rock tones. I have a clip of AC/DC, and one of Led Zeppelin. Check em out in my profile if your interested in this amp (the clips are line in directly to my computer, as it was 1 in the morning)

PS: please comment on the tone as well

thats a nice tone, I'm not a fan of that low gain if i'm honest though
btw, what sort of cable do you need to connect directly to your pc?

thanks man , took a lot of tweaking to get a tone i was completely satisfied with out of that amp, the dynamics of it are amazing, i can go from completely clean to what you hear in those clips just by picking lighter, i was really digging in in those clips.

To connect directly line in, 1/4 inch to 1/8 inch plug ( in the line out of the amp) then run a 1/8 inch male/male cable into the line in port on my computer

I was wondering, would anyone have any input on if i recorded the amp with a microphone, how much better it would be than the line in method i used?

I'm guessing that the speaker might not be so good on the Vox (But I'm only guessing), but it should generally have a flat EQ to it [the speaker], so it might sound better, providing the recording space and equipment used is top notch.

Nice!

Sounded a bit muddy, but I'm going to blame that on the fact you used a line in rather than a mic.

New tracks on my profile! Please check them out and see what you think!
