I have a Seymour Duncan Invader on one guitar, and a Seymour Duncan Distortion on one guitar. I have to say the Invader's chug is AWESOME! However the Distortion has more crunch and is better for solos to a certain extent but both solo amazingly!

eh. i'm not a fan of high gain pickups at all.
i have a Dimarzio Evolution in my guitar and i play metal and it sounds amazing.

high gain pickups + high gain amp = fail
