My friend is tired of his Peavey Raptor, and wants something a little better.

He plays a lot of punk (Dead Kennedys, Ramones, etc). He was looking at this:

and the Epiphone Les Paul Studio (which I advised against).

His budget is $350, and don't worry about the amp, it's all sorted out for now.

EDIT: on topic - can you get a tele for that sort of money? It's got the right sort of appeal for the punk rock sort of thing (look at Mr. Strummer)

^^You could get some sort of Squier Tele for $350 or less, or save up to $400 for a Fender Standard Tele.
