Ok so i just moved. Idk why, but it just hit me what my friend told me like a year ago. He said that if you don't un-tune the strings they might make the neck warp while in an airplane? Could someone tell me if this is true or not. Wanted to know if i'll be screwed over tomorrow(When i get my bass again lol) with it having a warped neck, or was it not true?

I've always thought that you have to detune then to reduce tension on the neck.

But I dunno.

If you JUST moved.. probably nothing wrong. At least I'd think so.
If you sit in in storage for years, you are supposed to detune.
But like, a week? You should be fine.

Can't really say this is the best news i've heard all day.

Knowing my luck, it'll be messed up.

It's possible, as air pressure is lower 30,000 feet up in the air then on the ground. That may mean the neck is facing less resistance, and therefore warps.

Besides, all you have to do is detune them.. it's not like you're taking the strings off or anything. Just do it to be safe. It'll take all of 10 or 15 seconds.
Signature? What's a signature?

Was packed up on the 25th of June. Finally getting over here tomorrow. Came from Guam.

Should it be ok?

Edit:Fire, we moved already. I just now thought of it though a day before it gets here.

I think his point is it's ALREADY gone 30,000 feet in the air and back down again

Like the dude said about the air pressure, it could effect it.
Then again, my guitar sits around all the time tuned up- but not going anywhere

My guess, it should be fine, if not. RIP

Even if the nech does move, it won't necessary be warped it may just need a truss rod adjustment.

I think you need to stop caring what people think about it. I stayed home all day today and masturbated like 5 times. Fucking blast.
