i'm in highschool, going to be taking tech and electronic classes the next 2 years
and want to get an amp built before school starts. anybody have any schematics?
i've already found one for the epiphone valve jr.
i was wondering about some schematics for other small tube amp heads tho,
such as:
Blackheart
Krank Rev Jr
Orange tiny terror
Fender blues jr

not to make a post that doesnt seem helpful... but how experienced are you with a soldering iron

but you could always try google...

This thread should be in GB&C. But anyway:

Building an amp is very hard. I don't know if you've had experience Soldering before but i highly suggest you maybe build a couple of pedals before you jump into making an amp. It takes high skill soldering and a lot of general electronics knowledge.

By the sounds of it you've never took an electronics class, i say you think about it after you've got a few lessons under your belt.

i've soldered before. fixed bum wires on stereos.
this isn't coming from some lazy bum guitarist who's
always online, i do a lot of fabricating, woodwork. inventing,
metal work, whatever i have an interest in i tend to grasp
fairly well. and im going to have my uncle who has worked
with electronics as his carreer for over 20 years transate the
schematics and help me with the parts and chasis.

well I would suggest building some simple circuits first. It can actually be a really big pain in the ass when all you have is a schematic and have to figure out the best and most efficient way of laying out part. I would definately try some some solid state amps first. The first thing I ever made was a little gem amp from runoffgroove.com but mainly just cause i was bored.

But building tube amps gets expensive... just make sure you know what your doing

can we please get to the point.
im not doing this alone. i've had soldering and circuit practise before
i have access to the parts through a certified electrician.
now if you have any access to schematics please share them.

I do not.

Take this to Gear Building and Customizing. There's a better chance that you'll find schematics.

And we're only trying to help, because there's the fact you could think it's easy and jump head first into a build that's too complicated for you.

oh completely forgot about the building thread :]
thanks for reminding me. anyways, no im not going to jump into this
alone. my uncles an electrician. and has old chasis and he'll be helping me through
it all, getting a stock amp clone, and im going to continue modifying it to my own
as i learn more.
