ok,
i had my guitar for over a year now with EMG's, its an esp ec-1000.
Basically i bought it used and never changed the batter.
My guitar still sounds great but is it time to change the battery anyway?

And what type of a battery brand do you guys recommend.
Should i just stick to the standard Duracell Energizer batters?

You'll know when you need to change the battery. My guitar hisses and pops like a banshee when I need to change mine.

It doesn't matter what battery brand you use, unless you're Eric Johnson.

^I'd let a pro look at it. Once you get into the technicalities of screws...well, it's just a place you don't want to be, friend.

You'll know, just don't leave it plugged in dude and your battery life will be fine.

I haven't been hearing no strange noises so i guess its ok then.

I always leave my baby in her case after use so keeping it plugged it is not something i do
