dunno if that's the right place to post; I am wondering about some very bluesy licks from Slash in this video (starting from 3:16 up to 3:58):

I think that it's in the key of G, and a part from some blues scale, which modes does he use? Dorian and Mixolydian or something else? and still in G?
I am really confused .

Both sounds and looks like he's using pentatonics. And knowing him he's using plenty of b5's and M3's and maybe a few M6's as off notes.

Keep in mind its his awesome phrasing thats giving him that slash style, not the scale he's using.

Yeah, it's mostly blues scale, but there is one point in which he uses a descending lick which seems to have a few passing tones that would remind you of mixolydian, which makes sense since it's a blues form so it's implied he's playing over dominant chords.
