so I need the best (moderately priced) pickup that can be high gain but still be really clear, and just generally have a badass tone. the pickups i have now are ****, and its my backup guitar, so i dont plan on putting in anything too expensive. thoughts?

Do you use the bridge pickup only? Cause I hear they don't go too well in the neck.

They don't work in the neck too well. They get muddy. The Super 3 in the neck is ideal though.
