Ummm... Just to help a tad, other than being a tad unhelpful, the chromatic scale? You can use this to work on hammer ons, pull offs, and working on your finger strength.

It's really good, and a nice warm up exercise aswell.

steve vai's 10 hour guitar workout

i dont know the name of it, but i have a guitar pro tab that has riffs from most of the bigger metal/shred guitarists, i.e. zakk wylde, randy rhoades, steve vai, paul gilbert, joe satriani, etc.

i am not sure, but i belive the name of it MIGHT be 25 essential metal licks. it goes over all their styles, like steve vai's tapping, paul's string skips, and all the other good stuff.
