I'm looking to upgrade the pickups on my MIM tele--I'd like to have a somewhat versatile set of pups. I want to be able to get smooth, warm clean tones as well as fairly hard-hitting, medium distortion tones.

I was thinking about maybe getting a SD Alnico II Pro for the neck.

Possibly a SD Hot Rails or Quarterpound for the bridge.

Suggestions?

EDIT: got me a Hot Rails still looking for neck pup.

^No.

And TC that pick-up set up sounds fine for what you're looking for (I'd probably go with the Hot Rails in the bridge, sure the Quarterpound would do but the Hot Rails would at least give you a bit more distortion to work with if you ever needed/wanted it).

Anyone have ideas for the neck pickup? Alnico II Pro's aren't easy to find used.
