I just want to be sure but i have a Gibson SG with .10-.46 strings on it and i am going to put on ernie ball .09-.42 strings.Since its only going form 10's to 9's it wont hurt the neck and wont require the truss rod to have to be adjusted right?I just dont want to mess it up.thanks for any help

No. You might find the action off a bit (not much, if at all, anyway). When I changed from 10's to 9's I didn't even notice the change.
