So I am considering dropping the strings on my Squire from standard tuning to
B-E-A-D. Not drop tuning, but putting those strings on the bass.

Before I do this and ruin a perfectly good bass, what are some things I should consider changing to make this change work better. I amsure I could kinda figure it out as I go, but I would rather find out everything I should know before I do this. So help me out if ya can. I know I shold get a new nut. Any recomendations? Let me hear what you have to say.

Here is a picof my bass. It is the best I have. Sorry for the low quality guys.

I have a light gauge of 5 strings on my BC Rich. No fret buzz or anything. I just had to reset intonation.

Is there such a thing as a heavy riff with out chugging on the e string?
