I've been having trouble figuring out what pedals certain bands use in their solos.
During their solos, the guitars tend to have a thicker sound.

example:

go to about 1:30 in the video and listen to the solo. the guitars aren't necessarily overdriven or clean. There's some sort of effect.

I would really love it if somebody here told me what certain pedal they are using?

I've been recently getting much better on the guitar, I can play solos and stuff but none of them sound good because of the fact that my overdrive alone still sounds bad in solos that have effects on them originally.

thanks in advance!

Sounds like a good amount of really smooth drive, perhaps with some chorus in there.

Also, MT isn't the place for this. Try GG&A next time.

Don't get caught up in effects like that because most of them are just studio magic.
