i looked and i didnt find anything on this particular topic soo,
i have a randy rhoads jackson with 2 passive humbuckers, 1 vol, 1 tone, and a 3-way toggle.
the question i pose is, if i switch my bridge ' bucker to an active duncan blackout, and disengage my neck bucker(as in unsolder it from my vol and tone pots but leave it in the mount) will my 3 way work as a killswitch?are there any complications i would need to worry about?it all works in theory but i dont know about practice in this method.

Don't take this as total truth, but in my opinion, it would work, because you would be breaking the circuit

It would certainly give you a dead spot on your switch, but it wouldn't send your signal to ground - so you wouldn't get that buzz free silence IMO.

Read the ultimate kill switch thread.
