Alright, so I had a half stack, but due to some problems I am in dire need of a new cab + head. My band and I are playing a few shows soon (2 weeks), so I need one pretty quickly. I only have about 800 dollars. What's a good cab+head that can produce good extreme metal tones for that price? Any help would be greeaatt.

This is one of the very (and I mean very) few situations where I would say **** a halfstack for right now and find yourself a nice 2x12 combo!

True! Most shows are miced anyways so a half-stack is overkill. Specially if you are going tube, since you wnt be able to crank it as much to get that desired tube tone. Go for the 2x12 tube combo and crank it all you want, when miced it'll most probably sound better.
