This is a first draft of a song I've been working on. I hope you all like it. A lot of people have said I should try writing with a chorus, so I kind of did that here. Criticism would be appreciated.

Now your marching band
They just won't play for you
Their instruments have all been broken can't you see?
And your mystery man
He just won't show for you
Don't you know he's got somewhere he would rather be?
And the millionaire
He's got something to say to you
You can bet your soul he ain't gonna say it for free
And your friend Voltaire
Claims he doesn't know you
No one ever said that this was gonna be easy

I know your looking for something to help you understand
What exactly you're gonna do now

Now the diplomat
He has stopped calling you
Lately he's been spending more time alone
And your doorman
He won't speak to you
He wouldn't let you in, now your outside on your own
And the illusionist
He's busy stalling you
While the police interrogate everyone you used to know
And the sheriff
No longer turns the other cheek for you
And for all your crimes you been confined to your home

I know your look for someone to help you understand
What exactly you're gonna do now

Babe you got it bad
Yes I know you got it bad
But there really ain't nothing I can do
I know you got it bad
But you've gotta understand
It ain't my fault they've all forsaken you

Because after all the soldiers of the armies go
And burn down the house where you used to live
I know you'll be searching for some place to go
I'm sorry babe I've got nothing left to give

Now your servants
They've all rejected you
It looks like they took all that they could hold
And your family
They have all refused you
And left you to live outside in the cold
And your attendants
Have all neglected you
And you've been left by yourself to sit and grow old
And your old friends
Lately they've just been using you
But you know that I'm sure you don't have to be told

I know you got it bad
But you've gotta understand
It ain't my fault they've all forsaken you
Babe you got it bad
Yes I know you got it bad
But there really ain't nothing I can do
