the thing to worry about is your amp, what is yours?
And i always hate people asking about strings, whats there to know?

Daddario EXL 10-46 and GHS Progressives 10-46 are great. also Rotosound but some dont like them. to remove nervousness, play in front of a couple of friends first. that should remove it somehow.
Ibanez RG321MH (Air Classic/Tone Zone)
Fernandes Telecaster (Twang King/stock bridge pickup)
Blackstar HT-20 (Scumback 55 speaker/ Tung Sol tubes)

Well, they are necessary to play, they are made out of things, and umm, there are usually six of them in a pack.

make sure you don't change the strings too close to the try out.

practice things they play. know what you want to play before you get there.

don't sell yourself short. be confident.

don't try to do too much.

they were in your place once too.

Jenny needs to sow her wild oats with random Gibsons and Taylors she picks up in bars before she settles down with a PRS.
