Ok, this guy is offering up an Ibanes SX72 MASA Acoustic Electric Guitar with a soft case for 220. beautiful looking guitar and brand new they go for about 450 now. only problem is...
there is a minor crack on the neck. is this really bad? hard for me to tell. and will it effect the playability? and can these be fixed?

well...neck cracks can't be good.
But this seems more like a paint crack...
so...I really don't know what to say.

It doesn't look like a finish crack - but it's hard to tell with those pictures. Regardless I wouldn't buy it, ibanez acoustics aren't anything to write home about, and this one has damage (possibly structural).

Jesus No. Ibanez acoustics are ****ty to begin with. Don't buy one with a crack.

alright, ya i thought i shouldnt. what do you guys think is a good line of guitars i should look at around $500??

That crack is structural starting from the edge of the nut. Probably why he's getting rid of it.
Never trust out of focus photos either [often deliberate] :-)

Get a solid wood Ibanez acoustic from 71' to 75' in good nick. For $2000 you won't get a better sound/action from any make new. I recently got a solid wood 73' dreadnought with a sitka spruce top for a $120 off E-bay that needed a small repair. That done the guitar is magic!

Are you kidding me? Have you ever played an Alvarez? I guarantee you haven't. They make absolutely incredible guitars at affordable costs. They make high end guitars as well. I bet there are many guys on this forum who are going to laugh at your post. Do some research next time.
