I absolutely love the body of the vintage metal axxe warp
and they are not bad guitars for the price
but I want something SAME shape not similar, but the closest i can find is a jackson Kelly but that isn't the same
so is the warp a copy of a guitar or just a modified replica of something like an explorer or a kelly

And about the corsa ad
The latest one (in england anyway) the one with some BORIS guy in
can anybody tell me from that slight glimpse what guitar that is
it looks like some edgy flying v but with a kind of les paul cutaway
heres the link:

just copy and past into address bar

Its a Dean ML.

I'm not so sure; it's got a pickguard on it and a flying V style headstock. More to the point I'm not so sure the body shape looks like an ML...

Edit: I think it might be a flying V with a leg rest on it.

still no answers on the metal axxe question?
is there any guitar identical to that body shape?
heres a link to the pic

its gorgeous but it'd be so much better if it had a set neck/thru neck construction
and some better pickups
vintage doesn't matter
brand isn't everything

I know I've seen one but I can't remember for the life of me where. Google turns up no useful results...

I think the design itself is peculiar to Vintage - I've never seen anything similar myself. Maybe go for a BC Rich Mockingbird, they have a similar vibe about them.

don't buy a guitar based on car adverts. DEFINITELY don't buy a guitar based on a vauxhall corsa advert.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

erm
i wasn't?
i wanted to know what it was
cus then i can find a dealer near me
which would let me test it out
then i'd make my conclusion of whether i should bother with it

it was a joke. i was slagging off vauxhall corsas.

the warp is an amazing guitar, plays great and doesnt loose tune, its also a shape thats created by vintage. closest thing to it is an explorer - try to get it to mate with a mockingbird and ...viola!

I've always found the corsa adverts especially annoying.

But i think its a Dean ML as well - its the kind of marketing dean would do - get someone to flash their guitars in a crap advert for something completely irrelevant.

I've also seen an almost subliminal Gibson les paul in a DFS advert and a Rickenbacker in a Mini Cooper ad.
I like analogue Solid State amps that make no effort to be "tube-like", and I'm proud of it...

...A little too proud, to be honest.

^ah, i've seen the mini one.

dfs is ridiculous. it's like they've had a permanent sale since 1345.

yh, the sumer sale ends tomorrow so come early - and enjoy the autumn sale!

its just marketing trick, the prices are always the same and they just pretend its been lowered so people think they are getting a good deal

yeah. they probably lower it for about 2 days per year so they technically stay on the right side of the office of fair trading. the OFT should be able to crack down on stuff where it's obvious that companies are doing something wrong, but purposely just staying the right side of the arbitrary law.

PS:Thanks for all the help i see how its like firebird explorer hybrid

EDIT: Weird how this threads lasted purely on the basis of me mentioning a **** advert on british TV..Impressive..Yet weird

i know it doesnt have much to do with what the shapes based on or anything but i just bought a metal axxe warp off ebay, about half an hour ago

It's pretty close to an ML shape but it's not a DEAN or a Washburn. Washburn did make an ML shaped guitar I have had a few. I copied the vid blew it up and took some snap shots. It looks like it has 4 tuners on one side and only two on the other. I find it funny on the big banner it shows the guy with a white right handed V but he comes out with a lefty guitar! It's probably some cheap Chinese made knockoff. I doubt they would use an expensive custom or high end guitar.

It looks closer to a DBZ Bird of Prey than an ML but the headstock is still wrong. The vid is too grainy when you enlarge it to see any real detail.
