Hey, I just bought a blackheart little giant and had a question regarding the pentode/triode switch. When I'm switching wattage does the amp need to be turned off? I read the entire manual that came with the head and I don't recall it mentioning anything regarding this. Thanks for the help!

I switch it when its off because it makes a very loud "pop"otherwise. There's no standby switch so thats the way i do it now.

If you're EQ'd loose, you'll sound loose anyway.

Yeah, pops generally aren't good. I'd turn the volume down before switching to be safe.
