It supposed to make a solid state amp sound like a tube amp

Sell the spider and put it towards a used tube amp.
I decided I want to be more like the people on ug...

Searchbar!!!

That oughta do it.

Time for a supercool guitar demonstration by herman li,

The 150 bucks would go pretty far towards a real tube amp. Versus trying to make pinto into a mustang.

save the money man..you can spend alot of money trying to make a digital
amp sound better and in the long run it will still come up short to expectations.

You sound like you want something that can blaze. Just save up man.
Theres nothing wrong with the spider if you like it..but just dont try to
hook it up. Its kind of a waste money.

After you get your tube amp...you will be surprised that some of the
cheapest pedals u will find can sound great.
I bet Charlie Brown's teacher's name was Mrs.Hammett

I bought a Samsamp pedal and it did make my Spider sound more like a tube. But like the others said it would be better to put that money toward a real tube.

Put the money towards a real one of these?

Get a new amp - Putting a tube overdrive in front of a digital solid state amp will only make it sound worse. And the TK is a bit of a gimmick - i think it only runs at 9v, which isn't enough to drive a proper tube. Its not even enough to drive a cardboard tube.
I like analogue Solid State amps that make no effort to be "tube-like", and I'm proud of it...

...A little too proud, to be honest.
