No guitar parts (yet, maybe), and I'd also like to add some vocals (it'll probably turn out for my gf). The song's not finished yet, it cuts off at the 2nd verse, and I'm thinking of adding more parts. All parts were made entirely from my keyboard hooked up to my computer (but the drums are loops). Let me know what you think

huh, that piano and strings are pretty amazing, i think that you should have made it all classical, like no bass even, or drums, probably could have opened up alot more if you did that. c4c?

hah, I'd love to make a classical version if I knew how. I can't really imagine writing scores of orchestral instruments so I'll probably stick to the easy rock ballad type sort of thing

very pretty. i like the strings alot. the bass seems a bit weird. maybe it's to loud/defined for this type of song? i think more slides and slurs would make this sound a bit cooler. i really like the changes in this song. i agree that no guitar is needed. you are a good keyboard player!

Yeah, I kind of just slapped the bass in there fast; I'm not a bass player myself . I'll try looking into it.

New version of the song is up (Track01), its pretty much complete in length but still needs vocals. The guitar solo is just a sample I did on my keyboard... the real thing will come when I get the cord to plug my guitar into my computer. The outro will probably fade off with a solo too.

the guitar solo at 2:39 sounds too fake, i guess that's coz' it is... the arpeggios at 1:42 and 3:05 are the coolest parts i think. the song is pretty, but it gets a little repetitive, and the bass sounds kinda out of place. you really should try and take it somewhere, and definitely add in some lyrics. i can definitely appreciate your use of something other than a distorted guitar, and the song could be pretty good if you added in some lyrics

I think it gets repetative because it doesn't have vocals yet, but this is a really nice piece, solid playing man, and yeh adding a few vocals, and maybe a melodic guitar solo will take this miles. Has some gd potential, reminds me a bit of something The National would do...

very nice. how did you record it?

I used Mixcraft 4. Sort of like Garage band for Windows. But now I've got to add the vocals and I think the song's going to be ruined by my voice
