hey, im getting a new amp. The Vox AD30VT or the VOX AD30VT XL. My favorite bands are metallica, iron maiden, motorhead, manowar, saxon, black stone cherry, sabbath, that kind of stuff.which amp should i get? the normal or the high gain one. i also play stuff like jimi hendrix, clapton. so my question is would a metal amp work better for normal stuff then a normal amp would work with metal? i could buy a metal muff or somethin later if i needed to

Not sure about Hendrix or Clapton, but if you have a nice guitar, the high gain Vox can pull of BEAUTIFUL solo tones, maybe not up to Vai standards, but it'll sound awesome for its price.

The regular Valvetronix is a better bet, the XL doesn't sound as good and you're not looking for anything particularly high gain.
