The music edition of the kevin bacon game. Connect anyone in the music industry to Eric Clapton through
-working together
-cover songs
-touring together

i chose clapton since he's one of those guys who worked with pretty much everyone in the 60's and 70's music scene. so post the solution to the post above you and then give your own,

example

Darrell Abbot to Eric Clapton

Pantera opened for Judas Priest in the early 90's.
Judas Priest covered the Fleetwood Mac song "Green Manalishi"
Fleetwood Mac guitarist Peter Green was at one point in John Mayall and the bluesbreakers
Eric Clapton was in the bluesbreakers.

so try this one: Al DiMeola to Clapton
#2
Al DiMeola is a guitarist
Eric Clapton is a guitarist.

John Mayer has played with Clapton live on numerous occasions.
If you're in a war, instead of throwing a hand grenade at the enemy, throw one of those small pumpkins. Maybe it'll make everyone think how stupid war is, and while they are thinking, you can throw a real grenade at them.

Soulja Boy to Eric Clapton
Soulja Boy's video Crank That had a cameo appearance by Michael Crooms (aka Mr. Collipark), who also produced "Promise Ring" by Tiffany Evans. This song also guest starred Ciara, who opened for Gwen Stefani in a recent tour. Gwen Stefani (in her No Doubt days) toured with Reel Big Fish, who released an album called "Monkey For Nothing and the Chimps For Free"; the title is a parady of "Money for Nothing" by Dire Straits, who played together with Eric Clapton at a concert put together for Nelson Mandella's 70th birthday.

Easy

Slash played with Eric Clapton on the "Save the Children benefit single" in a rendition of Tears in Heaven.

I almost considered to make a seven degrees of slash since, aside from Clapton, Slash has collaborated on more singles and session works than anyone.

having checked you favorite bands list, i'd say your an idiot.

You do know half the bands on there wouldn't exist without Yardbirds, Cream, Bluesbreaks or any other of the stuff Clapton did.

(i will agree with the Lennon thing a BIT, i think the beatles were overatted and their early pop period is the equivalent of the 60's version of the Jonas brothers and their music credibility is ridding off their last 3 or so albums.)
