Well, what bass amp is it. If you really want good sounds, you may need a new amp. If it is a cheap piece of trash that you are using because you don't want to spend a lot of money, sorry bud. It wound sound good no matter WHAT you put in front of it.

Do you mean playing a guitar through a bass amp?
If so, my advice for any good sound would be to get a new amp..

Again, bass amps sound fine for guitar. Many players even prefer bass amps because they provide more headroom and tighter bass response.

Exactly! I play a JTM45, also a bass circuit, and will be building either a Marshall 1986 (bass spec 1987 JMP plexi) or Marshall superbass. All sound amazing with guitar.

Well, I plugged my old Micro Cube into the effect loop on my Ashdown bass amp, and the distortion sounded really dull. Will a pedal be better?
