There should be trouble in River City, I don't think there's ever been a successful Ergs! thread on this forum. I don't need books about Miles Davis to tell me about how amazing this band is They aren't the most violent rap group but they maybe the new messiahs of pop punk. When you put on an Ergs album, it won't be a saturday night crap-o-rama. They should never be the 2nd Foundation of your good time, they're always the life of the vampire party.

I remember when I first heard the Ergs. It was August 19th. They pulled a sneak attack when I was under the influence of Minutemen. One of their songs came on and I thought to myself. "I feel better tonight." I was kind of like smitten.

So write 1000 letters of praise for the one and only Ergs!

One of the best pop-punk bands ever. They were all I listened to for a couple weeks at one point. Everyone who hasn't listened to them NEEDS to, NOW! I will not let this thread die like every good pop-punk one does.
#6
wow, you really went out of your way for that.

I shall listen now.

Oh my gosh, at first listen they're one of the happiest catchiest sounding bands I've ever heard. I love 'em already.

I know I ask this question all the time, but what album should I get first?

Upstairs/Downstairs or Dorkrock

Check mah location.

I really need to get Dorkrock based solely on how much I have loved Upstairs/Downstairs. I've listened to that cd a lot this summer.

I love dorkrock, but their other stuff doesnt do anything for me

Dork Rock Cork Rod is probably the best album title, ever. Seriously, lol. I really like The Ergs! and although Dork Rock is their best work (imo), you can't write off Upstairs/Downstairs. Another ace album.

Honestly, I cannot imagine my life without pop-punk.

I just called the girl that I go out with long distance. She told me she doesn't want to go out with me anymore, and then she hung up. ****ing hung up on me long distance.

I guess when I get back home I'll be alone again.

It's that Henry Rollins that says that?

It sounds like Hank, sort of.

At first I thought it was John Cusack cause I thought I remembered it from High Fidelity. But yea it does sound a lot like Henry Rollins, so that's I what I think it is.

I love this band so much, best pop punk band ever in my opinion, maybe my favorite band ever. Dork Rock is their best I think, but I love all their other stuff too. Also, does anyone else have Digital Endpoints, the album is like a thrash album mixed with some other stuff, it's pretty weird. I think the only Ergs release I don't have is their split with Modern Machines, if anybody does have that I would greatly appreciate an upload. Also, their split with Lemuria is pretty amazing.

September 27th at Ten Car. With Ruiner, Government Warning, and Pulling Teeth.
Hell yes.

Strange...my GF, who loves bands NOFX, NFG, MXPX, and pop punk in general called The Ergs mediocre.

Your girlfriend is dumb . Just kidding, but there's no way that The Ergs are mediocre. Anyway, be prepared for an awesome show, The Ergs are amazing live.

It's pretty funny, without Digital Endpoints at the beginning the album would seriously be like 3 minutes long.

Yeah, very p0nx

*will be singing "She's a pretentious asshole all day"*

But anyway, I don't think The Ergs can make a bad song, it's impossible for them.
