i probably wont be gigging with it coz i am primarily a guitarist, i just like bass and have some money to spend on new ****

naa i am pushing it with a highway one anyway lol so i cant really afford anymore than that. Any idea about amps?

try Acoustic and Ashdown.

the one in my sig is perfect for bedroom jams, it has dual inputs. that means less space needed.

I wouldn't call what we have here on the Bass Forum a mentality. It's more like the sharing part of an AA meeting.

What I would do is get a second hand Ashdown MAG300 4x10 combo for around £175-£200.

Spend £600 on a new but discontinued Pre2008 MIA Standard Jazz.

i was thinking maybe like a good low wattage amp for bedroom playing but loud enough for a jam, just not like 300 watts lol

The Ashdown will only put out ~180W without the extension cab.

And if you want something to jam with a full band, you might as well get something giggable like the Mag combo.

would the ashdown mag 307 watt combo blow my face off in my room?? or would it be ok, coz i have a 100 watt marshall fr my guitar and it is **** loud, i cant get it much past 2.5??

I use mine in my bedroom all the time and it sounds pretty good at low volume levels. Independant input and output controls help with this.

At band practise it works fine and at gigs it's a great monitor.

cheers, jonnomainman is your jazz bass mexican??? if so is it good and is it worth getting a u.s highway 1??

IMO I don't think it's worth it to get a higway 1. If you were to A/B them, the Highway one would be a little better but you probably wouldn't think the extra $370 would justify you buying the the Highway 1.
