For you who haven't heard this band I thought I would throw it out there. They take a little patience to listen to since the songs are pretty long, but they are worth it. Unfortunately they only released this one album.

Downloading the stuff available on their myspace right now (Which is almot the whole album... Nice). Seems like some quality black metal.

Anyone have track 5 from Dead as Dreams (Desasters in the Sun)? I've been trying but the CD I have is scratched right at that section and my iTunes won't let me rip it.

I got lucky and my buddy had several copies of it so I bought it from him. If I remember correctly I believe Tumult records sells their CD right now.

Absolutely monumentally bad ass music.

Someone talk Dead as Dreams with me.

this entire fuc/i]king battlefield

what a great title ^_^

But yes, dead as dreams is a monumentous song.

Phenomenal music, fit my mood perfectly as of recent. I'll have to listen to it again to get the full effect, but it was a great album.

Damn good band.

Anyone who likes Weakling should check out Krallice. Same general feel as Weakling, but more on the prog side than the atmospheric side.

Dead as dreams is a fantastic song.

This is very impressive. I wish I had money to order the CD

This entire ****ing battlefield is one of my favorite songs of all time. Very tasteful synth work.

Indeed. I like 'em both.
Dead As Dreams (the track) is possibly the most megalithic song I have ever heard.

The name of the band is misleading.

Also...
Grim, trance-like black metal from this cult SF band (RIP).

What does this mean?

Cool band, really original!

Acid probably makes you feel less like a hedonistic raver piece of trash, too.

I want to like this band. I really do. But then, I hear a Burzum track and they just seem so short of content and coherence by comparison.

Those howls at 1:50, goddamn I forgot how amazing this band was, i suggest you all do the same and put Dead as Dreams on.

Dead as Dreams is becoming one of my favorite albums ever. The whole album has an epic atmosphere of desolation, war, anger, and sorrow.

More people need to hear this band.

Probably the best in shape rare t-shirt I have.

Weakling are very good, was listening to Dead as Dreams just a little while ago...I gave John Gossard's other band a spin...and Dispirit are nowhere near as good as Weakling are. Still very good though.

bumping this because we need more Dead As Dreams convos
Cette nuit j'ai rêvé que je mâchais ses yeux
Après avoir crevé par accès de furie
Ta replète panse d'helminthes blancs nourrie,
Trop prompte à déféquer le fruit d'un vit sanieux.

How about that Burzum worship aye?

Actually, the opening riff to No One Can Be Called... is pretty headbangable

That's an understatement.

Also, I don't see why a lot of people complain about the vocals, they fit the music extremely well.

How can you complain about the vocals, and who complains about the vocals? That's what creates such a gloomy atmosphere when listening to Weakling!?

I've never actually listened to this album, its been sitting on my ipod for years but i've always glanced over it for something else.

Christ i've been missing out, this is bloody brilliant.

Edit:

Seriously, i heard 1 song years ago and bought this album and havent listened to it in its entirety since, suddenly its like one of the greatest things i've ever heard, what the hell?

Such black metal goodness, John Gossard has come to be something of an idol to me. What with Asunder and Weakling being some of my favourite works in metal, there's just no stopping this man and I hope Dispirit proves strong as well.

As for Dead as Dreams, it's cold and ruthless. I enjoyed every minute of it, and nothing like watching a city collapse as you listen to This Entire Fucking Battlefield.

All the bm thread regs have been raving about this since 08. Kinda hard to miss it.

This is one of those albums that remind one how bm reigns supreme.

DO GO ON

I mean really, this is good and all but at the end of the day it's Burzum worship. Well done Burzum worship, but it's not like this album is an epiphany in any way unless you like songs that go on way too long
