Anyone else like the sweet sweet music that this man made?

I could have put this in the soul thread in the other forum, but I think his music was bluesy and jazzy enough to warrant going here.

I first became aware of King Curtis from a couple songs of his that Duane Allman played on, and also from the ABB covering Soul Serenade. If you haven't heard Soul Serenade, do yourself a favor and listen to this:

Yeh I'd agree to King Curtis going under this genre, although slightly leaning towards soul. He covered quite a few songs if I remember, my favourite is his cover of Procol Harum's 'A Whiter Shade Of Pale' among others. Not as famous as he possibly deserves!
Yeah that's a good one. That cover is on the Live at the Fillmore West album, along with Whole Lotta Love. It's a great album.

Seriously yall, this man made amazing music. I'm guessing many people haven't heard his stuff. But you really should listen to some.
