im sure what type of speakers you have comes in to play too, but..

for a stock 5150, combo preferably, what is the best pre-gain setting for alternative rock like: my chemical romance, underoath, foo fighters, all time low, taking back sunday?

because i know a boost in gain is needed for the more br00talz "core-ish" stuff like ADTR & TDWP

just need any tips..because it seems like a lot of my note are distorted too fizzy like...not good note clarity if ya know what i mean my eq is:

pre-6
post-2 (my bedroom level)
bass-8
mid-5
treble-7
reverb-2
resonance-6
presence-7

2 on the master volume on that amp will sound fuzzy and thin. You need to be around 5 or 6 on the master to get its real tone. The EQ settings you have listed will work good. But try a little less treble. You just need to get the powertubes cookin!
