Neil ZaZa is probably the single person who made me want to be more than just a blues musician. He opened my eyes and my heart to the wonderful world of instrumentals. Post anything and everything about Neil ZaZa one of the truely most underrated guitarists ever!

He's pretty good. I'm thinking of learning I'm Alright.

On the funny side, the caption in the beginning of the video says this song is "melodic punk." I lol'd.
Lost interest.

Thin necks make you play faster because guitars with thin necks sound thin and bad, and you play fast to distract people from the bad tone.

gah, i think about making a zaza thread everytime i come in here but i dismiss it because nobody knows about him =( he's easily up to standards with the more popular shredders. I think hes not that well known probably because his two best albums (imo) arent in print anymore (two hands one heart, thrills and chills) sooo many good songs. faith, in my dreams, i'm alright, ground zero, higher and higher, fargo (my fav) aghhh he needs to tour more

he basically makes instrumental pop songs. I can just hear some random modern rock band sing over his progressions.

Main progression of fargo backing could be a jesse mcartney song anytime even the bridge part.

I guess if u play shred over it it's not pop anymore. Meh

I like satch more he experiments more in terms of sound progressions techniques band interaction etc.

Guess u must have an artist for everything

Too predictable imo. u wont'have some crazy funk riff or some weird tapping or even just a random drum loop.

It does have some really bad ass tunes on it.

I've heard a couple of songs from Zaza, and I like his sense of melody (especially in I'm Alright, doh).
A samurai once asked Zen Master Hakuin where he would go after he died. Hakuin answered 'How am I supposed to know?'
'How do you not know? You're a Zen master!' exclaimed the samurai.
'Yes, but not a dead one,' Hakuin answered.

I only have his Melodica album, but I love it. "This Time" is my favorite so far.
