I've only ever heard soundclips of that amp, and saw some YouTube videos, but it sounds kickass. It is very high-gain, so is a perfect match for metal and I'm sure it would handle rock providing you keep the gain at about 4 or 5.

Same here. I'm really considering this amp too, but this is the only one I won't be able to test for myself.

It's a very good amp.

And Laney do gain VERY well - Very HIGH gain too.
It's just that certain models don;t do gain well, whereas other models do.

Just the VOX AD15VT, AD15VT-XL, AD30VT-XL, and the Peavey ValveKing 112. I wasn't really impressed with the VOX amps, and the ValveKing was alright, though I wasn't able to turn it at a higher volume since I was in a small local guitar shop.

If only I can find an RG50TC in my area...

a Gh100l, I'm gasing for one right now.
Opeth uses them if you want to get a feel for how much gain it has.
Also i've heard Paul Gilbert used it on some early Racer X albums, it has a very nice lead tone to it as well.

Them things seem ideal.
But may be a bit expensive.

Randalls are good...for metal, I've never attempted or heard of anyone playing it for anything else. You should go give it a shot first, if it doesn't do the job, there's definitely alot of amps out there that will
Peavey 6505+
Fender Hot Rod Deville 410
Fender Telecaster Blacktop
Gretsch G5120

I almost got one for $550, but someone else got it before me.
Thats the same price as a new RG50TC, but it's a much better amp.
