All I know is C, U, and V shaped. It's usually pretty obvious what shape of neck you have.

You forgot D and theres a million different variations. Its not so simple. Thickness is very important as well as the general profile. There are many variations on the basic shapes and even asymetrical neck profiles. Some shapes are better suited to certain styles of playing like a thicker C shape for chords or a thin D like an Ibanez wizard or jackson thats good for shredding but the basically its just different ways to make the guitar as comfortable as possible to play. It all depends on your hand size and playing mechanics and your style. You should go try different types at a guitar store and find out whats most comfortable for what you do with the guitar.

You know what would be awsome? A phone that doubled as a fleshlight that recharged power through kinetic motion.

"hold on guys my phone's dying."
*fap*
"Ok we're good."
