i know there is major flame on its way....

but seriously without being a homo and saying "spiders suck" and stuff like that, i have a question

i know spiders are not an amp to go for if you are seeking great tone, but do you think it is a worthy amp if you are looking for something to play along with. i really like the drums and the bass tracks, and that is more important to me than pure tube tone while i am in my dorm.

i have a tube amp too, so dont tell me to get a tube amp.

i just enjoy the "jam" part and wanted some opinions.

They have a new Spider model?

To be honest, it would be a lot better (and free) to just download some backing tracks.

I'd much rather download backing tracks and stuff dude.
To me the Spider jam only has a few usable tracks.
Signatures are overrated.

O yea, you could always just get the Boss RC-2 and use it with your tube amp

well i had one...just sold it....it was a pretty good low to mid volume amp...like all spiders...no guitar originality but cool if you want to just have fun...the drum part was pretty good....as a low to moderate volume amp...its great...if you want to gig, no...but i will admit i had a **** load of fun with the backing tracks..and recording on it..

I agree with the dude that said get to get a Micro Cube. Great tone, and you can play along with somebody in a dorm without annoying anyone.

i want something simple for my dorm. the rc2 has ****ty drum tracks and no bass tracks, and i like how simple it is to choose a sound and hit play and then loop and jam along. the gdec does not sound as good if you ask me.

I didn't ask you, I just merely tossed the idea out there.

Maybe it just sounded good because EJ was playing on it. Who knows.

I'm just saying, it seems to do everything you ask.

i dont want a micro cube. i just want an amp with the backing jam stuff in it.

a new piece is coming out call floor jam...should be out in a month or so...might want to wait for that...spider jam might be a little overkill for a dorm...its definitely fun the play around with though
