im looking for the right marshall head for me. the most id spend is about $1000. i recently went to guitar center and played a jcm 2000, it was the tsl 100 and they wanted 830 for it used. i fell in love with that one but i didnt get a chance to play any others. anyone know of another good marshall head i might like? some of my favorite artists are, underoath, as cities burn, minus the bear, norma jean ect.

830$ is over priced for that head. I have seen them go for around 650$ on ebay.

(Cheers for another Floridian!)

Why would you want
MARSHALL
for bands like that... There are so many better alternatives in the pricerange
Marshall is just a label, don't get caught in the trap of it

Look into
Used Mesa Dual Rectifier
Used Mesa Single Rectifier
Used Peavey 5150 or new 6505
Bugera 333xl or 6262
Used Peavey XXX or new XXX
ENGL thunder 50 combo

Those will suit you much better for the music you are playing

the DSLs and TSLs sound terrible IMO (not as bad as the mgs but still bad). Go for a vintage marshall.
2009 Engl Powerball 100watt
1985 Marshall 1960a 4x12 with G12-65s
1989 Ibanez 540S LTD DY
2006 Epiphone G-400

I'd go for a DSL50/100 over the TSL100. TSL's sound very buzzy and fizzy to me. The DSL's do too if you use the high gain channel, but I don't.
