so im thinking of buying a macbook and im wondering if it comes with office and if not does macbook come with a word processor thats good enough to use(using for college papers) or should i spend the extra money for microsoft office

ok well is there a software already in the macbook that i could use as a word processor

Only TextEdit which is pretty rudimentary, but you could quite easily type the paper in that then load it into another computer with Word installed just to tart it up and print it.

I bought iworks 08 for my Macbook. There may be iworks 09 out but I'm not sure. It cost me £55. It's the equivalent of Microsoft Office but for Macs.

iwork has Notes, a decent processor, for 80 bucks. or just get micro office for Mac for 100, and thats compatible with PC's.
