The zoom GFX 8. I moved away from multi fx such as the zoom 505II long ago and now have a boss dd20, fulltone clyde deluxe, and MXR overdrive. But I am wondering are the older effects such as the GFX 8 any good? Cause my I have heard good things about the older zooms. And would it work well in conjunction with a dsl401 tube amp? Obviously I would have to use the clean channel I assume, but would I get anything from classic rock crunch, to tight box of metal style distortion? Cheers guys

You're better off buying effects you need in individual units - much higher quality (and some are modable too).

I've played through a GT8 and it's OK.
Nothing amazingly special, but good.
