I've got a problem with the floyd rose on my guitar (Warp)
For the first few days with this guitar the bar on floyd stayed in place wherever i left it, yet a few days ago when taking out the bar to put the guitar in its case (huge acoustic case that fits it lol) the white part around it came out with it. Ever since this the bar hasn't stayed in place and spins about a lot - which is really annoying because of how sensitive the bridge is, making that movement cause a slight alteration of pitch, or hit the fine tuners causing a lot of noise.
Is there any way to fix this? Is this supposed to happen?
madpickin said i should use PTFE tape, but i have no idea what that is, any other ideas/ want to elaborate on the tape.

I hope this was clear, if not just ask a few questions and i will try give you more detail.

is it a bar that you just push in or one that you have to secure with a screw?

if you want it to sound really dirty just rub some dirt on your amp...

Sounds like you stripped the screw part of the bar or inside of the bridge hole. Maybe roll take around the bar when you put it in? I'm not sure what to do for that. Ask a tech maybe.

First, Floyds can be tricky. Personally, I only like the comfort they offer while palm muting, so I have not used the bar a lot. Can you just put the white ring back in its groove, or is it lost completely? If it's the latter, try using a tiny rubber band and coil it around the groove's general area. Do you want guidance pics (Sometimes even I don't know what I'm talking about)?

sorry, i guess unclear. i still have the white bit but the bar wont stay put where i leave it, but it spins around freely instead, which limits a few tricks i can do with the bar.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

does it screw in or does it pop in? If it screws in its either striped the arm or the arm holder is lose and you'll have to take the whole floyd off and fix it. If it pops in, it could be the plastic bits on the bar, or the arm holder is again lose or something. If you can make a vid on youtube and post.
