it seems whenever i solo i cant help but sound bluesy. my guess is it comes from use of pentatonic scales as ive noticed many many posts in here with similar notions. eg: of something i play all the time

|------------7-----------9p7---------------------------------
|--------7------10p7-----------------------------------------
|--9fb-------------------------9-9p7-----------7--9~------
|-----------------------------------------(9)-9----------------
|---------------------------------------------------------------
|---------------------------------------------------------------

most things i play have a similar feel to that but id like to get a different sound.

Assuming your in B minor pentatonic there, you could try

e
B 7 9p7 9b10 7h9 7
G 9b 10
D
A
E

That's one that i use a lot. but really the question is what kind of sound are you going for?
Stage Rig

Fender Strat
Epi Les Paul
Taylor 110
Boss TU-2
Omega Amps Hot Rod Deluxe (Dumble mod)
Clean/Drive/More Drive footswitch
Mid boost/Preamp boost footswitch

im not going for a specific sound really; though i would love to sound metal. also i think your tab got spaced wrong in the actual post (im assuming th 9b10 is the first note?)

hey, type [code] before the tab and [/code] after the tab, it'll give an evenly spaced font like this.
