what would be a good acoustic pickup to buy for under $80? if it matters any i am buying it for a parlor sized guitar.

I'm just going to say, honestly, acoustic pickups sound like crap. I think the $250 Fishman ones are good at reproducing the acoustic sound, but your best route would be to make your own piezo pickup.

I plan on doing it soon. The sound clips there suck, but were probably done with a crappy voice microphone.

I like my Dean Markley acoustic pickup, and they have a sub-$80 model. Thru an acoustic amp, it should sound very good. I hated amp'd acoustics because of a certain metallic attack sound they often had, but this one didnt have that problem. try one out, you might like it.

I have been looking at some dean markley pickups. what model do you have? also how are the under the saddle piezo pickups?
