I have this problem with my rotosound 9:s that in after about a week I changed the strings they went less shiny, dark grey and are less slick. I seem to have this problem with every new strings. Can it affect anything that we live on lakeside and I like to keep my window open? Dunno...

LOL, for some reason the impression I get from you is like some wacky Frank Zappa of metal pulling pranks at the Grammys and telling crude jokes during interviews.

Possibly but one of the best things you can do is try to keep your hands clean when you play and clean your strings after you play; sweat is one of the biggest corroders of strings, especially if you have particularly acidic sweat.
