I need advice,

we are recording a sort of a demo for one of my friends singing, and she wants to do sweet child of mine.

now ill be playing three tracks, acoustic, electric rythm and elec lead

we also have drum and bass done already

now for the main solo, i was wondering would it be better to show of my improv in it or to redo an overdone but epic solo ( original)

this is for personal use not for resale etc, the song belongs to GnR etc....( disclaimer i guess)

You should play most of the original solo, but make it your own. Don't cover it exactly, put your own improvy type stuff in with it.

best suggestion.

I usually just improvise because it's a lot easier for me than remembering a bunch of solos.

This is UG, we love Schecters and Ibanez and Jacksons, we hate Deans and BCR's, we hate Marshall MG's, and everyone needs a new amp.
