i am going to mod my old POS strat copy into a beast.
i have an extra bill lawrence l-500-xl humbucker.
i want to put that in the bridge position, and compltley take out the single coils, as they suck anyway.
so i was gonna buy a new Single humbucker pickguard.
i just need one pot right? just for volume? or can you even wire the humbucker into just on volume pot, or do you have to put it up with a volume and 2 tones?

Whenever I clean my guitars, my family wonders why it smells so good; I say that I exude a fresh citrus scent from hidden orifices.

Plus put your humbucker in reverse if your doing what i think your doing
And youlle only need 2 pots.
1 volume, 1 tone.

I presonaly suggest keeping the neck pickup and replacing it later, as a neck pickup comes in very handy during solos.

2 tones? For one humbucker?

You should get a 1 humbucker pickguard, 1 volume, 1 tone, (500K each) and .47uF capacitor ( I could be wrong about the cap) and find a decent diagram. Then you will be good to go.

Sure, wire up one tone for each coil. Hahaha
All my photobucket pics are dead so no links to my guitar build threads.

Push pull to put it out of phase...

The possibilities go on for ever.

You could make two volumes, one for each coil and then a master tone.
