Ok, essentially Firefox (and Internet Explorer) seem to only be loading certain sites, while denying others. For example, I can load UG, and quite a few other sites, but when I try to get onto Band sites (dreamtheater.net, coldplay.com) and some clothing sites (among others), the connection always times out. In Internet Explorer, it brings me to Google and says that it "Can't find the address".

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that all of these sites can't be coincidentally down at once.

I've cleared my cache, checked my Internet Connection, Restarted, and everything else I could think of.

Here's another weird thing: When I try to access the iTunes Store, it says I can't connect to it, as if I had no internet connection, and when I bring up my Network in Mcafee, it says I'm disconnected. I type my IP into Firefox to adjust it, and it says I'm connected. My modem says I'm connected. I ran a virus scan and a Spyware Doctor scan, and they found nothing.

Could somebody help me in this?

opendns.com
Fixed my internet issues. Half the websites I went to were either gone or taking 5 minutes a peice to load. Now my internet is fast again.
Yours might be slow due to an ISP service being down or somehting, thats what I heard about my internet being slow, but idk. OpenDNS fixed it.

Does it open any specific ports?

Also, are you sure it's reliable/safe?

Yeah. you don't need to install anything, it's just some alternative way to connecting. I don't know about opening ports or any of that, but I've been using it for a week or so and it's just made my internet better. They have filters and stuff if you're into that, but I don't have any.
It's easy to switch to and easy to switch back.

sounds like your having a routing issue.. normally when you connect to a website it "hops" from different routers to get the the destination.. maby one of the hops it out..

do a tracert for me

go start > run
type cmd
type tracert coldplay.com

then copy/paste the information here.

Did you know the odds of a Vault-Tec shelter failing are 1,763,497 to 1?

So imagine life in a Vault-Tec Vault. Not just a future.
A brighter future... underground.

I've tried that with a few of the websites I've been trying to access, but they always seem to time out at around 18.

Here's one for dreamtheater.net:

I don't need porn, I have a girlfriend.

I will when I feel like it.
