Getting strings this saturday, and I don't really know what strings would be in order.
So what strings should I buy for an Epiphone Les Paul Classic?

if you're gonna be playing metal (gee, i wonder where i got that idea from -metalhead- :P ), go for some ernie ball strings, i've had them on my other guitar and they do give you some nice, thick bottom end compared to other strings i've tried.

Strings are something you have to feel out and decide for yourself which you like best. I started out using GHS boomers, which were alright, then switched to DM Blue Steels, which were pretty nice. Then I used EB slinkies for a little while, and I really didn't like them at all. I've been using D'addarios for probably 3 or 4 years now, and they are alright, definitely not the best, but at a 10 pack for $30 or so they work fine for me.
