Hey all... My original song in my profile is "Flying Out"

This is my second project on my home computer. The song was written a few years back when I was in a band that had a REAL singer. I sang this version as well as played the guitar, the bass, and programmed the drums... all me...

Anyway, let me know what you think please. The mix doesn't seem right, but I'm not sure what to do. I know the vocals are off key, but no matter what I do, I still go off key...LOL!

Critique the song writing too, if you please...

C4C???

first, the mixing is not very good, but you already knew that . turn up the vocals and sing closer to the mic, it sounds as though you're singing through the room, or perhaps you added on too much echo. the part at 2:11 is pretty cool. the bass and drums sound a little out of place: i don't like the bass tone and the drums sound too fake, try and get some real ones in there or at least more realistic ones... the vocals don't sound off key to me, and the lyrics aren't too bad, though i wasn't super impressed. some better mixing could definitely benefit you and would make this song much better, but all in all, that wasn't half bad.

myparanoid: this has a very ozzy vibe to it. guitar is really good, but the recording is not so great.

flying out. drums were a little to dry. the vocals sound a bit too forced. like you're trying too hard to sound like alice in chains. but i thought the music writing was pretty cool.
Too cool for a signature.

Great guitar tone and vocals / effects! Vocals need to be raised in the mix imo. The quality is excellent. Nice song, the mini wah solo was sweet, would love for that part to be longer.

if it is, it doesn't belong in "original recordings"

Its not in "original recordings". Its listed as a cover in my profile and it has been from the beginning. Thanks for critiquing it though. Sorry if there was any confusion, but I, in no way, meant for it to be construed as "original".

As a matter of fact, here is the link to the Paranoid song in the Covers section of this board....
