Hey guys,

My GF just got a macbook for Uni but she has no (or poor quality) speakers to listen to her music and what have you so I was wondering if you knew of any decent quality 2.0 speakers (no subwoofer).

Do you think it might be better getting her some decent headphones and a set of 2.1 speakers instead?

Thanks

Buy her a good set of Studio monitors, a studio sub, and an interface to use them...

she will be uber happy, and you will be $5000 poorer
I've bought, sold, and traded more gear than I care to admit.

serious? gah bose has such a fanboy customer base it sickens me. They could **** out a set of speakers, and people would pay whatever for them.

They have good reviews so why not? Its worth a look, especially for the price.
But you could always just buy her an iPod touch and a Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin

Fender Aerodyne Telecaster & Stratocaster
Marshall JCM 800 4104 combo

I don't know what you're talking about. My MacBook has really nice speakers, except for the fact that my headphones blasted could be louder than them but still...

Take post #2's advice and get Gigaworks.
